Black Panther And the Superhero as Educator A Panel Discussion on the Film and Its Implications for Education, Research and Practice
This panel discussion took place during the annual Teachers College Diversity in Education Conference last April, and explored the historical, literary and STEM focused themes depicted in the movie and its relevance to educational practice. Panelist included: Rhonesha Blaché, M.Ed. IUME Doctoral Fellow, Teachers College; Lee Bynum, History and Education Doctoral Student, Teachers College; Cally Waite, Ph.D. Associate Professor of History & Education, Teachers College; and Ade L. Williams, Writer and Former DC Comics Editor. The event was moderated by Dr. Felicia Mensah, Associate Professor of Science Education at Teachers College.
